take med annuity. I definitely need to look into this. My spouse has cognitive impairment that will probably lead to Alzheimer’s and nursing home care eventually. We are planning to move to rental retirement community soon and use the money from the sale of our house to help pay for that. After reading these posts, I think we ought to put the money plus the cash we have on hand in an annuity in my name (with survivorship annuity in case I should die first). We have some long term care insurance that would cover about three years for each of us, but Alzheimer’s is likely to take more than that. One thing puzzles me, if my spouse goes on medicaid, do I have to spend all of my income each month? I can probably do it!

this is an interesthing topic because people in my country is still confused to take med annuity wether they have enough money to spare and most of people still in conventional way
